Inspiration Behind the Music

Everything that has live grows. Where there is no growth, death is not too far behind. Even after our bodies stop growing, our minds never stop growing. We are constantly learning new concepts and forming new habits. I have heard that one of the best ways to prevent dementia is to keep the mind active by learning another language or learning how to play a musical instrument. this is not just a physical principle, but a spiritual one as well.

The apostle Peter tells us in (II Peter 3:18) that we should grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord. As believers, we need to recognize that there is no better way to grow. The reason is that our God is inexhaustible. I delight in knowing that our growth potential is limitless. I am also glad that the Bible just doesn’t tell us that we should grow. Peter also tells us how growth can be achieved.

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
II Peter 1:5-8 NKJV

Faith is the foundation upon which every other principal of the Christian life rests, but no builder stops after he has completed the foundation of the building and says that he is finished. Likewise, more must be added to our experience that it may be genuine. According to (II Peter 1:10), if we are diligent in adding to the foundation, we will not stumble. Why won’t we stumble? The reason is that there is no law against knowledge, temperance, kindness or love.
When you and I grow in the grace of Christ, God will be gloriffied and others will be drawn to our Savior. Grace brings abundant life and many other blessings, but the greatest blessing that we receive as we grow in grace is becoming more like Jesus that this dark world will see the light of his glory.
