Inspiration Behind the Music
It doesn’t take a new born baby long to figure out that it is perfectly normal to expect good from their parents. As soon as they cry, Mother or Father is there to satisfy whatever need they may have. If the parents are normal compassionate parents, the baby will learn very quickly that it’s parents would do anything to meet it’s needs.
As the parents give more evidence of their love and devotion to their child, the expectation grows in proportion to the growth of the child. even though many parents make mistakes while razing their children, most of the time the child will remain confident that their parents love them. Why? Because the child had years of evidence to prove their love. Now suppose the child begins to doubt the love of their parents and instead of expecting good, the child expects evil? What if you had a child like that? How would you feel after demonstrating your love even to the point of sacrifice, if your children never expected good things from you?
Our creator has not only made us to expect good from our parents at birth, he has also made us to expect good from him. He has made it so that we see a reflection of himself in our parents. Unfortunately, there are many parents who have misrepresented the character of God to their children, but in spite of these negative experiences, the love of God has still managed to penetrate. I have met many who in spite of past and present hardships are completely persuaded of the love of our Heavenly Father. This is why the Apostle Paul could ask the question, “who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” (Romans 8:35)
a few verses later, Paul answers his question by letting us know that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Christ’s love was just as real to Paul as the sun in the sky. But what convinced him? Why was he so persuaded? To answer our question, we must ask ourselves the same question Paul asked three verses back.
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
Romans 8:32 NKJV
Paul understood that our Heavenly Father’s gift of his son for the transgressions of the world, is the greatest gift that we could ever receive. Because our world is in rebellion against God’s government, our world deserves justice. However, because God chose to take the responsibility for our transgressions upon himself, we each have been given an opportunity to accept the gift of his son. According to this verse, God did not give his son grudgingly. On the contrary, the gift was given from a heart of immeasurable love. according to the verse above, the evidence is shown by the fact that in addition to the gift of his son, God still offers us more.
Satan has told many lies about our Heavenly Father and unfortunately, most people believe him. In spite of all God’s blessings, we still find it easier to doubt than to believe and so we constantly have to remind ourselves that God is good. But When we consider the mercy of God and all the times he has forgiven us even for sins willfully committed, it is easy to believe him when he says he loves us. He causes the sun to shine on both the good and the bad (Matthew 5:45) so that sinners may consider his kindness and repent. It is his kindness that leads us to repentance. (Romans 2:4)
Let us continue to reflect upon his goodness that our hearts may remain soft and receptive to his love. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, let us never doubt his goodness. May you and I always remember that every good and perfect gift comes from him. (James 1:17) Because he has freely given us his son, we can and should always expect good from him. He is the fountain from which all blessings flow.
