No matter how independent I am, there are times when I have to depend completely on others. Because I am blind, depending on others is at times inevitable. When I am being lead by someone, it is necessary for me to remain one step behind so that it can be easy to follow. It is also necessary to take my leader by the elbow so that I can feel their every move. There are times though, when I may get distracted and walk beside or one step ahead my leader and usually when I do this, bad things happen like tripping or stumbling.
It takes a lot of faith to trust someone to lead you especially if you’re just meeting them the first time. You may not have a disability, but I’m sure you can identify with me since we all have had those moments when we had to trust and there was no other option. Do you remember how you felt? We’re you afraid? I will admit that there were times when I was afraid of the unknown, even more afraid than being lead by a total stranger.
God is no stranger to us. The evidence of his love is all around. He offers us all of his resources so that we can know how to navigate through the difficulties of life. What do you need help with the most right now? Need help choosing a spouse? Are you trying to figure out your next financial move? Are you uncertain about your purpose? If so, this promise is perfect for you. It is just what you need to remember. Do your best to keep this in mind when answers seam like its taking forever to come. Also, don’t forget to remain one step behind. Your path will be certain if you place your feet in his footprints. Learn to depend on him completely just like a blind person being lead by someone with site.
Psalms 32:8 (NKJV) I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Amen!!
