It has been way too long since I have reached out to you. To avoid being a jack of all trades and a master of none, I have had to prioritize my activities. I am so sorry for taking so long to check in. Please forgive me. I will share in another post all I have been up to this year so be on the look out for it.
I believe last year was the most interesting year of the 21st century so far. As I observe our world, I believe that there are many more years like last year to come. Perhaps the future will be even more interesting. Many are desperately hoping for things to return to normal, or at least to the way things were before Covid. However based on my observations, that will not happen. We are headed for a new normal, whatever that is. We don’t know yet. We are still waiting to see what that new normal will be.
The unarguable fact is that our world has become a whole lot more uncertain now than it has ever been. Back when things were a little more stable, our secular and Atheist friends would say from time to time that certainty is their enemy. I wonder what they’re saying now? It is very easy to see that the general atmosphere is uneasiness and there are lots of events in our world that have made us uneasy.
if we ever needed to remember the words of Jesus, the time is now. In Matthew 24:35 he reminds us that Heaven and Earth will pass away, but his word by no means will pass away. I take much comfort in this promise. A time is fast approaching when the only certainty we will have is what Jesus said. I am encouraging myself as well as you dear reader to become more acquainted with all he has to say about the times we are living in. As our world turns it’s back on God their only hope, let us remember that the abundant life Jesus promised includes a perfect love that casts out fear. (1 John 4:18) Let us also remember that nothing and no one can snatch us out of his hand. (John 10:28) He will not leave us and we can count on him remaining with us until all things come to an end. (Deuteronomy 31:8) (Matthew 28:20)
As we keep our minds on Christ and his word, We will be kept in perfect peace. This will need to be done at all cost even to the abandonment of pet political theories and ideologies. When he was on the Earth, Jesus priority was his mission to reveal the Father and also to redeem us from the hand of Satan. He had no time to become embroiled in the political issues of his day. We need to follow his example. More on that in another post.
Let us not be distracted. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus. Let us make having clean hands and clean hearts our highest priority. Let us make every effort to live in peace with all people and to be holy. (Hebrews 12:14) Most important of all, let us have grace where by we may serve our Heavenly Father acceptably.
