Inspiration Behind the Music

Our world is shrinking. We are more connected now than ever before. Social Media has brought us together in ways that we did not realize were even possible. If we are not careful with our time management, hours can pass by while browsing Facebook, Twitter or Google. Social Media has even become an addiction for many people. In fact, many recent studies are linking social media to depression and loneliness in both teenagers and adults. If you don’t believe me, A simple Google search will reveal that this is true. Isn’t that ironic? Even though we are more connected than ever before, we are more lonely and isolated than ever before.

We should not be surprised by this, because many associate their self image or their worth by the amount of likes or shares they get on Facebook or other social media platforms. What we don’t realize is that the approval that we desire so desperately from social media has been offered to us by our Heavenly Father for thousands of years. In Jeremiah 31:3, he says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” His love for us does not change with the constantly shifting winds of public opinion. It is not fickle. He says, “I am with you always.” “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8) (Matthew 28:20)

In this world, we will have tribulation, but because our Savior has overcome every trial that this world could throw at him, we can have the peace that passes all understanding.(John 16:33) )Philippians 4:6) This experience is only available to those who are abiding in Christ. This means that our walk with him must be a daily experience. He will hold our hands through the perplexities of life and prove his love to us. Because he knows us better than we know ourselves, he knows what is best for us. It is difficult to believe this, especially in the midst of hard times. But if we continue walking with him we will learn how even the hard times worked out for our good.

In spite of all the lies that the enemy of our souls has told on our Heavenly Father, the evidence of his love for humanity is shown by the giving of his son. Now, his son invites us to come to him, and receive the rest that our hearts long for. As we walk with him we will discover that we will not remain the same. Not only will we have his approval, we will have all the benefits a relationship with him can bring: peace, joy, love and eternal life.
