The past 2 and a half months have been very interesting to say the least. I certainly never thought that on New Years Eve as I boarded my flight to New Zealand to do a series of performances there for 10 days that by the beginning of April, the whole world would be on lock down. When I returned from New Zealand, there were rumblings of the Corona Virus and it’s deadliness in the news, but at the time no one could see how it would affect the world in the way that it has.

In February I traveled to the Washington Idaho border to provide music for a prophecy symposium by White Horse Media. Incidentally, much of the presentations were on what should be done to prepare for the times of trouble that is soon to brake upon our world. when I returned home, there were more news reports about (COVID-19), but it still was business as usual. Most continued their vane pursuit of pleasure. As more people died around the world and as more and more people became infected, the world began to wake up. Countries began closing their borders, Businesses began laying off employees and economies here in the USA and all around the world took a dive.

In spite of all this chaos, I am very thankful that I can see God’s leading and his care for me. He has been so good to me and my family. You see, before the lockdown, I noticed that I had no confirmed singing engagements. since this happens occasionally I did what I always do. I began to pray and ask God for work so that I could have the much needed income to support my family. As things got worse, I began to realize that my Heavenly Father loved me too much to give me what I was asking for. If I had been out and about before becoming aware of the seriousness of this situation, I may very well have contracted the virus and brought it home to my family. thank you Jesus!! You are so good!!

Since the Lock down began, I have sang for 3 on line church services and participated in a live fund raiser on the zoom platform. It was streamed on Facebook and I believe it can be found in my Facebook news feed. If you want to check it out, just go to Facebook and do a search for Behind the song and you should find it. the concert was to raise money to purchase items to help the homeless in places like New York and San Bernardino which have been greatly affected by this pandemic. Here is the link where you can leave a donation.

they are still a very far way off from their goal. any donation, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.

Musicians like myself have been hit very hard by this pandemic. Because of social distancing, we musicians have seen our income vanish into thin air. there are other sources of income that I am considering right now, but in the mean time, I want to let you know that I am still available to participate in any events held on the zoom platform. Just use the contact link at my website to reach out to me. Here is the link.

sign the mailing list and get some free music.

I also have a special deal going right now. Just enter the coupon code lockdown7 into your shopping cart and get $5 off of any of my CD’s. This deal may be offered again depending on how long the lock down lasts. For now, it will end on May 1.

As we wait to see how long this world wide lock down will last, let us use this time wisely. Let us spend more time with God. Let us open our hearts and minds to the leading of his Spirit. Let us be determined to not just be hearers of his word, but doers of his will. Let us take time for personal reflection that we may know our standing with God. Let us keep our minds stayed on him that we may be kept in the perfect peace he has promised to us.

I want you to know that I am praying for you and I request your prayers also. Let me leave you with this wonderful promise from God’s word. I am comforted every time I meditate on this promise, so I am passing it on to you in hopes that you will be encouraged by it just as much as I have been or perhaps even more.

Psalms 37:18-19 (NKJV) 18 The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. 19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

God bless you all.

  2. Thank you for sharing, Neville. I’m looking forward to watching your live streaming. Your music has been a huge blessing to me and my family. God bless you continually and more abundantly. 🙂

  3. Peace and blessings to you brother Neville and all your loved ones. This is a strange time we are in, but grateful to us it is not at all strange to our Jesus. All of our days are to be in practice of trusting in Him and always being thankful. I see you are new to Instagram. I have seen people do small shows on their or to share their talents to get more notice and income. It is whatever the Lord leads you to do. Like He told the disciples who had been fishing all night and caught nothing to cast their nets on the other side of the boat and because of their obedience they caught so much. So let it be for you and for all those in need. I look forward to hearing more of your music. Respect to you. All Glory and Praise to God Most High!
